Privacy Policy — Channel Operator

This Privacy Policy explains how Channel Operator ("the App", "we", "our") handles data when connecting to Google and YouTube services on behalf of its operator's own YouTube channel(s), including youtube.com/@YesICan-0123.

Channel Operator is a single-operator automation tool. It is not a public service, and it does not offer sign-in or account access to third-party end users. Only the operator of this application authenticates with it, using their own Google account.

1. What data we access

When the operator authorizes this App via Google OAuth, the App may request the following scopes:

• YouTube Data API — upload/manage videos (youtube.upload / youtube): used to upload, schedule, update the metadata of, and manage videos on the operator's own YouTube channel.
• YouTube Analytics API — read-only (yt-analytics.readonly): used to read the channel's own performance metrics (views, watch time, retention, click-through rate, traffic sources) to help plan future content.

The App only accesses data belonging to the channel(s) the operator explicitly connects. It does not access, request, or store data belonging to any other YouTube channel, viewer, or Google account.

2. How we use this data

• To plan, produce, and publish video content to the operator's own YouTube channel according to settings the operator configures.
• To measure the performance of published videos and adjust future content decisions (for example, video length, hook style, or thumbnail style).
• To detect and respond to policy issues on the operator's own channel (for example, copyright claims, strikes, or age restrictions), so the App can pause automated activity when needed.

3. Data sharing with third-party services

To generate video content, the App sends the necessary text, instructions, or metadata (never your Google account credentials) to the following categories of third-party service providers, strictly to perform the requested generation task:

• An AI language model provider, to draft, review, and fact-check scripts.
• A text-to-speech provider, to generate narration audio.
• An AI image/video generation provider, to produce visual assets.

These providers process data solely to fulfill the specific generation request and are not authorized by us to use it for any other purpose. We do not sell data, and we do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data storage and retention

Operational data (video plans, scripts, cost records, performance metrics, and OAuth refresh tokens) is stored on infrastructure controlled by the operator. OAuth tokens are stored only long enough to keep the connection to YouTube active and can be revoked at any time by the operator through their Google Account security settings.

5. Data security

We apply reasonable technical safeguards to protect stored data, including restricting access to the operator only and never exposing credentials in logs or public interfaces.

6. Children's privacy

This App is an internal content-operations tool and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
